Olivia Davis

Stage Manager

Olivia Davis is a passionate new graduate with eagerness and drive for Stage Management. They have a well rounded education including familiarity with lighting, sound, costuming, directing, and performance. Davis has a special interest in the intersection between arts administration and stage management. They also have a background in event management so they are comfortable collaborating with house management, contractors, donors, and guests.

Olivia Davis is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina. Davis earned their Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre and Event Management in December 2025. They graduated a semester early with a 4.0 GPA. Under the mentorship of Brenda Arko, Olivia debuted as the Stage Manager for an original play, The Seeing Place, written and co-directed by Lauren Wilson. This new play posed an incredible opportunity for firsthand experience communicating script revisions and rehearsal reports across departments as Wilson fine tuned her masterpiece alongside the cast.

In 2022 Olivia began working professionally at the Koger Center of the Arts alongside their studies. They now have several years of experience as a stagehand and dresser for nationally touring productions including The Lion King and Hamilton.

During their time at USC, they participated in over 24 theatre productions, both educational and professional. Some of their work includes Stage Management - The Comeuppance (2026),  Scenic Design - Animal Farm (2025), and Lighting Design - Language of Angels (2023). Under the mentorship of Marina Arconti, Davis also worked at the university’s costume shop as an undergraduate stitcher for 2.5 years, before being hired back post-graduation as a stitcher and costume technician.

Olivia Davis is passionate about the process of stage managing a production from start to finish, creating safe and sustainable environments for theatre artists of all kinds.

Company Artists will be in-residence at USC setting a classic Limón work on the Betsy Blackmon Dance Company, who will perform on an unforgettable, one-night-only program alongside Limón Dance Company and artists from The Joffrey Ballet.

Senior Instructor Olivia Waldrop and Instructor Christopher Anderson are directing the concert, which is a culmination of their work guiding the students’ creative development throughout the current semester. Eleven works spanning a diverse array of styles will be featured in the concert.

This Gala served as the central fundraiser for the Betsy Blackmon Dance Program for the 2025/2026 season.
